Energy and Farm Business Show 2022 – Highlights

After an absence of two years, Energy in Agriculture returned to Gurteen College, Co. Tipperary on Tuesday, 19th July 2022. The Energy and Farm Business Show was a must-see event for landowners who are forward-thinking and looking to diversify into the energy, leisure, hospitality, food & tourism industry. Energy and Farm Business Show 2022: Opening Address and Panel Discussion

Opening address by Jon Parry, Principal, Gurteen College, followed by a Ministerial Address by Eamon Ryan, Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications. A live panel debate, chaired by Damien O’Reilly, Journalist and Presenter with RTÉ, covered thoughts and insights from industry leaders on the difficulties faced by the farming sector. Panellists included: Minister Eamon Ryan, Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications; Marie Donnelly, Chairperson, Climate Change Advisory Council, Chairperson, Renewable Energy Ireland; Tim Cullinan, President, Irish Farmers Association (IFA); and Professor Frank O’Mara, Director, Teagasc.
